Our vision is large improving children’s futures.  Our reach is wide--engaging community partners.  We work together with many partners to meet challenges, solve problems, and take advantage of opportunities.

Building Relationships

We bring together Trenton-area organizations that provide public and private-sector health, social, and educational services for the common good of improving the lives of children.  For example, through Children’s Futures Family Success/Parent Child Centers and the Nurse Family Partnership home visiting programs, we reach women (and their children) at risk of domestic violence and education, screening, and counseling.  Because we know the landscape of programs, we can connect people with many of our collaborating partners.

By holding workshops and bringing experts to the community, we disseminate information to promote best practices that address the needs of children and families.  For example, in 2009 we hosted educational sessions throughout the community in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week.

Technical Assistance

As an expert and partner, we help make area nonprofits stronger, providing them with information they can use to enhance the quality of their offerings, and increase awareness of their programs.  One area of Children’s Futures technical assistance provided for partners is in the area of effective use of data management tools.  We understand the value of performance data—for helping to improve programs for identifying needs, and for attracting future funding—and we help our partners show how their efforts are translated into outcomes.
