CF Center: West Ward Family Support/Parent Child Center
The Neighborhood Location in Trenton's West Ward Providing Services for Children and Families
The staff members at the West Ward Center work to work to promote healthy, happy and successful children and families. The Center is across the street from Trenton Central High School West.
The West Ward Center also hosts workshops and programs to promote positive parenting and appropriate child development (view calendar below). In addition, the West Ward Center operates a food pantry for local residents three days a week. The West Ward Center is located at 1100 West State Street. Some programs are also held in a nearby Mercer Street Friends site at 222 Hermitage Avenue.

In addition to operating the West Ward Center, Mercer Street Friends also directs Children's Futures' Home Visiting Program for residents from throughout the city. Eligible individuals who may benefit from home visiting are identified by health screens conducted by Children's Futures' partner agencies and are invited to participate in one of the available home visiting programs (Healthy Families, Nurse Family Partnership or the TIP Program). Some women may be eligible to receive home visiting services through a public health nurse program designed to serve women who have high medical risks.
